Road Aware Driving School strive to be completely accurate in the information that is on our web site. Every attempt is made to keep this information up to date. In some occasions information on the web site may be out of date. Road Aware driving school reserves the right to make any modifications or corrections to the information you find on our web site at any time and without notice. We also reserve the right to send a different driving instructor to the allocated appointment if unforeseen circumstances arise. 

Provision of Lessons

You must hold a current Australian driving licence or learners permit of the correct class or equivalent overseas licence and carry it with you during a lesson.

All fines and penalties incurred during a lesson by the driver are the responsibility of the driver.

On-road lessons commence and end at the pre-determined pick-up point, determined at the time of booking the lesson.

The duration of a standard on-road lesson is one hour, which includes briefing and/or debriefing time.

Proper footwear must be worn during the lesson. A flat, enclosed and secure shoe is recommended.

The learner driver is responsible to cover the cost of any cleaning mess made to the interior of the vehicle including body fluids or food and drinks subject to the discretion of the driving instructor.

You must be ready to commence the lesson 10 minutes prior to the agreed time. If you do not turn up at the agreed time for your lesson, your instructor will wait 15 minutes and may deduct this from the total lesson time at the instructor's reasonable discretion. If you turn up outside these times, your instructor may, in his/her reasonable discretion, choose not to proceed with the lesson and in such circumstances, you will be liable for the cost of the lesson.

While every endeavour is made to commence the lesson at the scheduled time and with the scheduled instructor, no responsibility can be taken for circumstances beyond our control that may delay the start time or result in a change of instructor. If circumstances beyond our control have delayed the start time of your lesson, we will offer you the full lesson time or, if that is not possible, we will offer you a lesson at another time.

You must comply with the instructions or directions of your instructor at all times, before or during a lesson.

We reserve the right to terminate a lesson if:
1. you engage in any behaviour that your instructor determines is reckless; or
2. you fail to comply with the instructions or directions of your instructor before or during a lesson; or
3. you fail to comply with any special conditions on your license, i.e. wearing of glasses/contacts
In the event that a lesson is terminated under the circumstances listed above, you will be required to pay the full cost of the terminated lesson.
4. Neither we nor our driving instructors accept any liability whatsoever for personal property that is left in any instructor supplied vehicle.
5. Driving lessons cannot take place in your own vehicle unless you have at least one full lesson with us to assess your driving. After this assessment, if your instructor agrees to provide lessons in your own car, you warrant that your car is covered by compulsory third party and comprehensive insurance. Neither we nor our driving instructors accept any responsibility whatsoever for traffic infringements or accidents resulting from a learner having driving lessons in their own car.

Driving Test
1. Neither we (Road Aware Driving School) nor our driving instructors accept any responsibility whatsoever if your driving test is cancelled due to any errors in your log book unless it is an entry we have made. Instructions on how to fill in the log book properly is presented in your log book so please use due diligence to make sure your log book meets necessary requirements before attending your driving test.
2. If you are presented for a driving test by one of our instructors but your test is cancelled due to any errors, omissions or faults not caused by us including but not limited to the items listed below, your Driving Test Package fee will be payable in full.
a. Any errors or omissions in your log book (you are fully responsible regarding your log book)
b. You have booked a different test by mistake (eg Hazard Perception Test instead of Driving Test)
c. Your test is at a different time or location
d. The Department of Transport WA inability to take your test due to staff shortages or any other situation.

e. You have not completed the Hazard Perception Test.

f. Your Hazard Perception Test has expired.

g. You cannot produce a valid Learners permit (lost)

h. You cannot produce a valid identity document, passport or digital visa. (international conversion students)

Purchase of Goods and Services
1. Road Aware Driving School reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.
2. The availability of services may change from time to time due to unforeseen problems or unexpected demand. Road Aware Driving School is not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever arising from failure to deliver or delay in delivery of any services.

Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Western Australia. We and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia.
